Linocut, Monoprint, Drypoint, Monotype & Chine Colle

The upcoming printmaking courses focus either on an individual technique or have a mixed-media approach with 2 methods.

Linocut

During this course your will learn the basics of the Relief printing. You will creatie an image, carve it on your Linoblock and either multiply a single print or make a variety of prints with the same block. Linocut printmaking also enhances your sense of composition and balance as you experiment with the imagery you’re creating.

Monoprint

Monoprint

Monoprinting opens up new ways of seeing the world by turning everyday objects & elements from nature into creative tools. It also encourages repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded, fostering artistic expression and sustainability. This is a very playful technique with unlimited possibilities to explore.

Drypoint

This course uses Tetra Pak and PET-G as plates for drypoint printmaking, offering a cost-effective approach. Tetra Pak, a repurposed object, and PET-G have smooth surfaces for incising. Through these materials, you can create detailed, textured prints.

Monotype

Monotype printmaking is an exciting and creative process where you bring a unique image to life by transferring it directly from surfaces like glass, metal, or plexiglass onto paper. Each monotype is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, giving you the freedom to experiment and create something entirely original. It’s the perfect way to explore new techniques and express your artistic vision with beautiful, distinctive prints!

Chine-colle

Chine-colle

Chine collé is a versatile technique that adds texture, color, and depth by attaching delicate tissue paper or newspaper pieces to the print surface. It creates a layered, dynamic effect with subtle or bold contrasts. This method can stand alone or be combined with other techniques for endless creative possibilities.
