About Alma Matter: Creative Art Education & Workshop, Berlin

Artist - Educator

Alma Sinai is an interdisciplinary artist and art educator specializing in printmaking, drawing and stop-motion animation. For over 12 years, she has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, from kindergarten to adults, across various countries. Her experience includes teaching and other educational roles at institutions such as The Drawing Center, Cornell University, Pardis for Children in collaboration with Asia Society, Vermont Studio Center and the LungA School. Her teaching integrates art history, cultural literacy, and sustainable practices, focusing on the use of everyday objects to create art. In the recent years Alma has been teaching workshops with Berlin Drawing Room, InterACT English, and TINCON Academy.

Alma Matter fosters an inclusive & creative environment where everyone regardless of their background and level of exposure to art is welcomed. During the courses the participants not only have a creative exchange but also learn techniques that they can easily use at home without the need to be provided with a lot of facilities. Through using everyday life materials as art mediums, Alma Matter focuses on making the creation of art easy, accessible, and sustainable.
